first day @ work...

Hello again!

Yesterday was a very nice and sunny day, so Hannah, Tuomas and I took a walk through Helsinki.
It's such a nice place!!! I'm definitely coming back here - at least for a holiday...
In the evening I learned how to make some typical finnish pea soup:

IT'S THAT EASY!!!! But it tastes a lot better than it may look like on this picture. Tuomas was a little sad, because we didn't have any MUSTARD to eat within the soup - but I didn't mind that much ;-)
After dinner I discovered probably the greatest innovation since the light bulb was invented: the finnish dry-up-system for dishes:

drying up and putting away dishes at the same time - we really should adopt this technique in Germany!!!

Right now I'm in the office and I was already pretty amazed by the conference room for the student's organizations at Hanken:

Special attention needs to be payed not only at Tuomas and Michelle, but also at the alcohol and the bra on the bra on the table *smile*

So - I think I'm going to have a very nice time here!!!

Hyvää huomenta! - Good morning!

After my first party in Espoo I had to sleep a little longer...
But it's really amazing everybody wants to teach me Finnish.

Tuomas and I with my little Finnish dictionary...

And here they are - the most important sentences I learned last night:
  • Täällä ei ole alastomia miehia. - There are no naked men here.
  • Mitä vittua?!? - WTF?!?
  • Minulla on vähän kylina. Voisitteko saattaa minut kotin? - I'm feeling a bit cold. Do you want to walk me home now?
  • Haluan naida sinut. - I want to marry you.
  • Haluan naida sinua. - I want to f*** you.
The only thing that's easy to learn in Helsinki is probably the Metro-station "network":

But I'm really glad about the great people I already met and I hope we'll have a great time together here in Helsinki!!!
