THE WEEKEND!!!

Wow, finally I've got some time left to present my fabulous weekend on this blog!!!

As planned we went to Tuomas' cottage outside of Helsinki. After a one hour trip by train, Mari picked us up with this great "car" called "THE BEAST!":

Well, it was a great trip - no doubt about this and anyhow: it was a german car :-)
As you can see: I was pretty exited about this ride...

Finally - some involuntary stops included - we arrived in the middle of nowhere (also known as Asikkala). It was probably the most beautiful place one can imagine:

Shortly after we started to "swing" in the finish way:

Well - we had some fun right there. But I'm quite happy we didn't return later at night...
So we went to the cottage accompanied by our guardian Asa:

Finally the party started...

... with viin, ....

... wine ...

... and original finish sausages - cooked in the sauna of course!!! :-)

Of course we went into the sauna afterwards. It was such a nice experience to jump into this cold lake after almost 80 degrees inside... (no pictures here ;-))

Only few hours later... (maybe at noon) ...

... Mr Kamppila himself discovered the leftovers of the red vine ...

and the unique - the one and only horn of Asikkala:

It is traditionally used in the following way to wake up AIESEC alumni... :-)

Always remember: "In Asikkala you don't need no alarm-clocks...." :-)

So finally it was time to hit the road again.

It was definitely a gorgeous trip that noone of us will forget so quickly - especially not Andres who woken up by the horn of Asikkala :-)

Huomenta!!!

Hei, good morning everybody!

Yesterday I had my first Local Committee Meeting at AIESEC SHS and it was quite nice. At least we worked out a nice SWOT-Analyses. Based on this I can structure my work for the next weeks.

Afterwards we went to Pub Pete and "enjoyed" some kind of finish karaoke and some sangria.

Then we went to seee some really nice fireworks in the rain :-)

But the best thing at this evening was definitively our little "after-show-party" at Mari's place. It's really quite entertaining to lay "I've never..." with 4 more AIESECers...
Well, long story short - these are the remains:

The only thing that's left is some Tequila and a little bit of "viin" - which tastes quite good with bluberry soup by the way :-)

Unsurprisingly we got up a little later today. But the real party will take place at Tuomas' cottage in the countryside tomorrow. I'm curious about it - so: let's see what happens next!

Hei hei!

Well, I still really enjoy my time at Helsinki - what more can I say?!?

Michelle and Tuomas at the AIESEC office

My work is going on pretty fine too - so I really hope the recruitment here at AIESEC SHS will work quite good.
I also hope that I'm going to get a student's overall from Hanken School of Economics like that:

http://www.shsweb.fi/en/shs/study-life/the-overall.html

That's exactly what students wear when they have really big partys. I also got my first batch already - from AIESEC SHS of course!
I really love this kind of student's culture they've got here at Finland!!! Why don't we have traditions like that in Germany??? Or at least at Cologne University???

This evening I'm going to visit some AIESEC Alumni here in Helsinki to build up the AIESEC SHS network a little bit better.

Just one more thing: enjoy this nice Poster I discovered at Hanken University:
